What do you like the most, PUBG or Fortnite Battle Royale?

I’ll give my take on PUBG only and why its better:

Because of its very nature, PUBG has become one of the most competitive games released in last couple of years. Dropping in with 99 other players, either alone or squadding up with your buddies, emerging victorious is an achievement.📷

A lot of people playing is the sheer hilarity that can ensue during a round of PUBG. The map is so huge, and there are so many players and things to explore, that something funny is almost bound to happen every time you play.

The imagery, mechanics and complete aesthetics of the game are much more realistic and raw, compared to the cartoon style seen in Fortnite. This realism invokes a greater sense of urgency as the player runs from gunfire, scavenges for supplies and does all that they can to stay alive.📷

The game's realistic nature reaches its combat and its imagery of firing different types of guns.

Just like in real life, gun-specific recoil forces the shooter to adjust aim after every shot, and reloading speed varies widely between weapons, and isn't instant with the press of a button.📷

Also, because gunfights in PUBG are much more likely to be long-distance, the characters are a lot harder to hit.

At the time of publishing, PUBG has two maps. Both are roughly five square miles of mostly wide open, desolate land that often leaves players without cover from sniper shots coming from hundreds of yards away.📷

Meanwhile, the players have calculated that the Fortnite island — which isn't given a real-world scale — is about 2.5 square kilometers or 1.5 square miles.

Due to PUBG maps being so huge players spread out farther, so on average PUBG match lasts pretty much longer and the suspense only intensifies as more players die. I've played thousands of rounds of PUBG where I don't encounter another person for 20-minutes or so, simply to be knocked out/killed by a sniper that from don’t know where or run over by a Jeep while making a run for the circle.📷

In both the games, players have to face shrinking play zone or "circle" around a playable area, so being able to travel long distances quickly is a necessity.

As the PUBG map is large, players get to drive cars, bikes and even boats to get inside the zone or circle, same is not the case for the Fortnite players. But the vehicles can be helpful even within the playable area, especially for defensive players—like myself—who want to avoid getting into a shootout by making a quick getaway. Alternatively, those who prefer an offensive strategy can use the bigger vehicles to run down opponents.📷

I like a realistic style for this type of game, since it creates the most immersive and thrilling experience, and helps me improve my skills and chances of winning all the more satisfying.

There’s a strong scientific reason in including violence in the game is just like other media do, like in horror and action movies. Violence can be a mean to invoke stronger emotions and unintended reactions from an audience, and both are successfully achieved as a result of the mild violence depicted in PUBG, which I would argue is much more tasteful than many other popular realistic-style, first-person shooters.📷

Another reason is its a good mood booster, unlike Fortnite where your morale and interest goes down after every game. You keep aside cartoonish visuals, a fairy tale like gameplay and illogical unnecessary quirks, you get a great game like PUBG and that’s what actually PUBG is.
