The ‘Best Weapon’ is not necessarily the best for everyone. It’s more like, which weapon you are very good at. Some are good at every weapon, some have their own preferences.
I’ll focus my answer on which weapon I think is the best in their respective category, and why. I’ll also skip on the crate weapons like Mk-14, AWM, Groza etc. as they are no doubt good, but not accessible to most players, and you can actually win back to back chicken dinners with even the following weapons only:
SMG: Vector

This gun is crazy good if you get the extended mag at the very least. The rate of fire is better than UMP, and it can shred an enemy in under a second even before they can react. It’s stable as fuck even without any single attachment, with almost no recoil at all. Even with the lowest base damage than other SMGs, it is quicker to kill an enemy with Vector as compared to UMP because of its 624 DPS, the highest of all SMGs, which is even higher than all LMG and ARs!!

I was torn between AKM and this one, but decided to abandon the former for it is incredibly difficult to control. This gun is an all-rounder, and you can shoot off even the pros with this versatile weapon without breaking a sweat. It has low recoil and can also be used as a sniper with single fire mode and a 6x scope. It is the makeshift ‘sniper’ of choice for many pro PUBG mobile players because of it’s lower recoil as compared to DMRs.
LMG: DP-28

The only freely available LMG in the game, this gun is the favorite of many players. The circular bullet magazine makes the recoil much lower as compared to M249. This gun is deadlier if used when prone, and has the capacity to wipe out an entire 4-man squad in just one go without reloading in the hands of a capable player.
DMR: SLR

This gun is the rarest of all DMRs that are freely available, and for a very good reason. It has the highest base damage of all non-crate DMRs, and can be equipped with many attachments. Get yourself a cheekpad, and you’re looking at one of the easiest DMRs to control right there.
Sniper: M24

Ask any sniper-welding guy and you’ll get just two answers: AWM and Kar98. Sometimes you’ll hear the occasional wail about how stupid the VSS is. But few mention the name of this super sniper, for it is quite difficult to find. This bad boy can one-shot a level 2 helmet guy, and can clean a level 3 helmet. Plus, it has the sexiest sound of any gun when equipped with a silencer. Try it to believe it!
Shotgun: S12k

This is an underrated shotgun, for this is the only one which can shoot in full auto. It is a perfect replacement for an SMG until you find one. The added advantage with this gun is that it can equip AR attachments. Just point it at an enemy, press the shoot button and it’ll empty all 5 bullets onto an enemy at close range without batting an eyelid.
Pistol: P18C

This tiny guy is the most lethal secondary weapon in the game, for it is the only fully automatic pistol that can rival SMGs with its fire rate. Most players drop their pistols after they get two guns, but if you use an AR/SMG with a Sniper/DMR combo, keep this pistol in handy for instant use if your auto weapon runs out of bullets in the middle of a firefight. It might just save your ass.

Ask any PUBG mobile player about their opinions on crossbow, and 99% of them will tell you just two words: It’s Shit. The remaining one percent know the true strength of a crossbow: The only fully silenced weapon in the game with damage stats only bettered by an AWM. It can head-shot enemies with level 3 helmets. The enemy will almost never find out your location if you are hidden or behind cover it as it doesn’t show up in the map as ‘orange bullet’ icon when shooting, making it the perfect weapon for use in the last few circles where stealth is of utmost importance. Think of the crossbow as a bolt action sniper, but without the any noise. It’s a bit hard to operate, but this baby has won me quite a few chicken dinners, and I always pick it up when I come across it.
