When will the PUBG MOBILE LITE come to India?

PUBG Mobile lite now is downloadable in Indian market.

Witin three days of its launch, Tencent Games announced that the game hit 10 million downloads in India and became the top free game in the subcontinent's Google Play Store free games charts.

"The popularity of PUBG Mobile Lite can be attributed to the fact that a considerable segment of the Indian smartphone market comprises of 'entry-level smartphones' and now thanks to the new lighter version - PUBG Mobile Lite, this segment has access to a game which was beyond their reach," the company said in a statement.

PUBG Mobile Lite is aimed at users with less powerful handsets, as the game is rated to run smoothly on as little as 2GB RAM and occupies about 600MB of internal storage.

The game cuts a few corners though. There are fewer maps and just two game modes—the Classic Mode comes with only Erangel map while the Arcade Mode, that gets unlocked after level 10, can only be played in War. Further, it can only accommodate 60 players instead of 100 in the original game and runs lower quality graphics.

However, it still delivers the signature battle royale PUBGexperience with the ability to talk to teammates and even other players using VoIP. The game also comes with a store for in-game purchases.

The Lite variant of the game has been around in foreign markets for about a year now and was first launched in the Philippines in August last year.
